Bei den Worten „Orchester“ oder „best of“ mag man geneigt sein, eher das Gesicht etwas zu verziehend und freundlich dankend das anpriesene Werk links bzw. im Regal der wenigen verbliebenen „local music dealer“ stehen zu lassen… – doch wie’s der Zufall will, durch die gediegenen Boxen klingt beim Lustwandeln durch die Gänge ein Sound, der einen dazu unwiderstehlich verleitet, nachzufragen, was denn da gerade läuft…

Das neue De-Phazz-Album, lautet die Antwort, in einem perfekten Zusammenspiel mit der STÜBAphilharmonie, die u.a. schon mit Clueso und Alin Coen ähnliche Projekte realisierte. Überraschend erfrischend, überraschend die Stimme von Barbara Lahr, „grand dame“ des ersten Sensationsalbums „Detunized Gravity“, überraschend wie Orchester und die international erfolgreichste deutsche Lounge-Band rund um Pit Baumgartner in dem Mix aus elektronischen Klangspielereien, dezent bombastischen Orchesterinstrumenten und dem fast schon gewohnt wundervollen Sound der Stimmen so harmonieren, dass es sowohl dem Klischee des wohligen Sofa-Lounge für allerlei Gelegenheiten nebenher als auch ungewont schweisstreibend tanzend bestens geeignet ist…. Für mich die Entdeckung des Jahres! Da kann man – in diesem Fall – nur sagen „de capo!“

At the words „orchestra“ or „best of“ one might apt to have a problem not to save face und to say „no, thanx“ to one of your last remaining „local music dealer“… – but, well, promenading the tiny record store the music playing at that moment irresistibly tempts to ask „wow, what’s that beautiful sound for?!“.

The answer is quiet simple as easy: the latest album of De-Phazz – this time in a perfect interplay with the philharmonical orchestra of „STÜBApfilharmonie“, who already did similar projects in Germany with e.g. pop star Clueso or fabolous singer/songwriter Alin Coen.
Exhilarant the voice of Barbara Lahr, the „grand dame“ of the sensational debut album „Detunized Gravity“, as exhilarant as the interplay of the philharmonical orchestra and the international successful lounge project of mastermind Pit Baumgartner flowing into a mix of electronic soundscapes and discreet bombastic philharmonical instruments.
